This two-hour formal tasting will take you on a journey through your palate. You will learn to taste wine with care in order to appreciate its quality; to submit it to examination by your senses; to try and understand it by discovering its various characters and putting them into words. Guests will be able to 'read' a wine by appreciating its visual aspect, evaluate its aromas and flavors as well as experience its mouthfeel. Understanding a wine is to savor it. Offered daily on the hour from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. year-round. Advanced reservations are accepted. This program is also available in a small private group tour format.

Approximately 75 minutes in length.
(Note: Due to the in-depth nature of this tour and tasting, young adults 13 years of age or older are permitted on the noon tour only; children under 13 are not permitted.)

Robert Mondavi Winery's renowned tour follows the path of the grape from the vineyard through the cellar to the finished wine. You will see the inner workings of our winery and learn about the vineyard, fermentation, barrel aging and bottling. A seated educational tasting of wines from Robert Mondavi Winery then brings the elements of wine making together as you taste three of our top wines.
